Pedal Against PTSD

Our mission is to empower military and veterans to overcome PTSD through the sport of cycling.

Our vision is to bring awareness to the fact that PTSD is a serious issue and to share the sport of cycling with all veterans that struggle with PTSD.

Pedal Against PTSD is a  non-profit organization created by Kevin Campagna that has a mission to empower veterans to overcome PTSD through the sport of cycling.

Kevin likens his cycling expeditions to his service in the Marine Corp. The training, the sacrifice, the mental toughness are all similar to what he had to go through in the military. The finish line of his epic journeys are much the same as when he left the military. There’s no celebration, no fanfare, no parade saying “Congratulations. Unbelievable job. You have inspired millions of people with your effort.” Just the individual accomplishment of knowing you have completed an incredible feat that very few others have or will ever experience. Kevin also suffers from PTSD and riding has become his therapy as well as his way to promote awareness to the issue and raise money to help his fellow veterans also suffering as well. Kevin believes there’s healing through cycling. We at Shoulders of Giants couldn’t agree more. We believe Kevin can help educate people on PTSD and we want to help him raise awareness. We also want to learn from Kevin’s multitude of hours of preparation and trial and error when it comes to long distance riding. Many of us will never attempt what Kevin does regularly. But we can sure learn a lesson or two from him, about cycling, and about life.
